Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Laguna Covers collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit lagunacovers.com, use our contact form, place an order, or otherwise interact with us.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, telephone number, shipping and billing address, measurements, product selections, messages, photographs, and files you submit through our contact or fit-request forms. When you place an order, Shopify and payment providers may process transaction and payment information.

We and our service providers may also collect device and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, referring URLs, cookies, and similar identifiers.

How we use information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries; prepare, process, and fulfill orders; provide customer support; detect and prevent fraud; maintain and improve our store; comply with legal obligations; and communicate about an order or, where permitted, marketing.

How information is shared

We share information with service providers that help operate our business, including Shopify for our storefront and checkout, payment processors, shipping and logistics providers, and Basin for the contact and fit-request forms. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, customers, or business.

Shopify also processes information to provide and improve its services. Learn about Shopify’s processing and your choices in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and Shopify Privacy Portal.

Shopify Network Intelligence

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled for our store. Shopify securely combines information from interactions with our store with information from interactions with Shopify and other merchants to provide enhanced services, including improved products, personalization, store performance, and advertising targeting. Other merchants cannot access our customer data through this feature. Shopify and our other service providers may process this information in other countries. Shopify’s processing and your choices are described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy linked above.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our storefront and service providers may use cookies, log files, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site, maintain security, understand site use, and improve performance. Where required, we ask for consent through the Shopify cookie banner. Browser settings may allow you to limit cookies, though doing so can affect site functionality.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including order fulfillment, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please do not send payment-card information through our contact form.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, a copy of, or information about the processing of your personal information, or to object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising where applicable. Use the Laguna Covers contact form to make a request or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your request before responding. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. You may also contact your local data protection authority where available.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link. This does not stop necessary order and service communications.

Your privacy choices

You can opt out of certain data sharing through our Your privacy choices page. Shopify also recognizes applicable Global Privacy Control signals. When an applicable sale or sharing opt-out is registered through these controls, your store activity is not used by Shopify Network Intelligence for advertising purposes. You can also use the Laguna Covers contact form for privacy requests.

International processing

Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries outside your country of residence, subject to applicable law.

Children

Laguna Covers is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post an updated version on this page.
